The first ever national inter faith week for England, has been promoted
by the Inter Faith Network for England (IFN).

is a member of IFN and has arranged a week of activities so that as many people
as possible will have an opportunity to share in this national event at a
local level.

The theme is 'Respect, Understanding and Friendship' essential aspects of inter faith work.
Artwork from children of the local Baha'i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh communities will be on display.

1. Setting up a synagogue? The How and Why.
2. Writing the old fashioned way: Use a quill pen and ink and learn to write your name in Hebrew .
3. A Kosher cooking demonstration and tasting

The Hunsbury Hill Centre, Harksome Hill, NN4 9QX.
An informal and inspiring entertainment of prayer, music, audio visual presentation and storytelling based on the central theme of Baha'u'llah's message; that of unity, love and goodwill to all of humankind.
Set in an idyllic farmland setting, the celebration will include performances from talented, professional Baha'i artists from across the county.
Delicious refreshments will follow the performance.

Coach leaves Northampton (Abbey Centre) 9.30 for London
The day includes a guided visit to the Mevlana Rumi Mosque & Dialogue Centre in North London, with informal presentation by Dialogue Society about their ongoing inter-faith dialogue activities
The day continues with lunch at Wisdom Primary and Secondary School, a tour of the school and an informal session with the school management team to get to know more about the School activities and how values at the heart of all religions have been implemented.
There is a nominal charge of £5

Lewis Houston on behalf of NIFF will co-ordinate three events
in 2009-2010
1. an art exhibition in Inter Faith week (November 15-21 2009) to be held in
a public space in Northampton
2. an inter faith 5-a-side football competition within the period Dec 2009 -
March 2010
3. an inter faith "family day" in May/June 2010
A further three events will take place over the following 12 months with the initiative expected to lie much more with the faith communities themselves.
